Four day weeks sure can mess up a planner’s life, YIKERS? I was all sorts of discombobulated all week. Yesterday I finally forced myself to sit down and plan out a few things for the month of June. Jacek contributed a few suggestions and now we have plans, back up plans in case it rains, and things to look forward to. Organize the klutter….it’s a great thing.
I feel better but still feel like time is running me over.
I thought these fragments would be easier considering the week I’ve had but I’ve been sitting here like, DUR! for quite a while now.
I just got done playing around at mylivesignature.com. Pretty neat site. You’ll see what I did there at the bottom of this post.
On Wednesday the boys and I went outside. We were out there for maybe 5 minutes and I hear Jacek, “Ewwww, Mommy come here….dog poop!” So, I saunter over thinking he’s pointing at it. Nope he’s got it all over his hand. Lovely. I run in and get wipes commanding him “Don’t move. Don’t touch it or your brother. Stay where you are!!” I return and wipe it off. All better. 5 minutes goes by….I hear Aidan, “Yicky….” I look and see him sitting on the edge of the sand box poking the bottom of his shoe with a stick. I rush over. Dog shit is now all over his shoe and in the sand box. Lovely. I attempt to slide his shoe off but apparently with much more force then I actually needed. I end up yanking the shoe off and as I’m not prepared for the extra g-force behind my pull I slam the dog shit covered shoe into my face. Lovely. Just lovely.
I am sad that Rue McClanahan died yesterday. So sad. It makes me think of the times as a kid when my parents would be sitting at the kitchen table discussing the death of one of their idols or icons. Of course I didn’t “get it” then. I sure do now. And it sucks. RIP
I lost a follower at the beginning of the week. I try to say it doesn’t bother me but it does. I just would like to know why. Seriously, if you want to not follow me anymore can you please send me an email and tell me why. (sad face)
I gained a new follower by mid-week. It all works out! (happy happy face)
I’m going to list 5 things that made me happy this week – here goes:
1. Jacek telling me “You look so pretty Mama…can you twirl around?” when I was trying on a new dress.
2. Comforting my cat the other night. Apparently, he’s afraid of thunderstorms. He snuggled up and wouldn’t leave.
3. Getting an email confirmation stating that my Rachel Ray cookware set has shipped from CSN stores and will arrive Tuesday.
4. Making homemade ice cream for the first time since getting the ice cream maker for a bridal shower present in 2003. We’ve been missing out I tell ya. So good! Who ever got that for us, I hope I sent you a thank you card.
5. Surprising my boys with ice cream cones, filled with home made ice cream, when it WASN’T even snack time…..MADE MY WEEK!

I love the idea of homemade ice cream! We used to make it at family reunions back in the day. Just might have to bring that tradition back this summer.

I think that sometimes having too many people in your following list can be overwhelming for some and if they can't get to you very often, it just helps their heart to feel better to unsub if they don't read. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you have a ton of people who don't follow you that read you all the time

It was unbelievably easy and yummy. Sugar, Whole milk and Heavy Cream….beaten together and poured into my ice cream maker…25 minutes later I crushed some chocolate cookies up and let them get stirred around and then….we ate and said YUM a lot!!

I used to tell my mom the same thing when I was little and she'd get dressed up to go out: "Oh Momma!! Twirl, twirl!!" And she always did.

Oh me, oh my!! I know that lol! is grossly over used, but it’s exactly what I did while reading about the dog poop fiasco. I actually snorted! Probably because I relate to it way more than I’d ever want to!! We had a similar scenario here not to long ago. Eeeeewwww!

I have 2 little terriers and when I got home today from visiting my daughter and brand new grand daughter in the hospital one of my terriers had shit stuck to his butt and had wiped it all over my house.
