I remember my Mom threatening me with this. “I’m gonna wash your mouth out with soap if you talk to me like that.”
I don’t however remember if she actually did it. Perhaps I suppressed the memory? Not sure.
I do remember that I actually tasted soap on my own, without being dared, because I wanted to see if it tasted as good as it smelled.
It didn’t.
At the start of the year, it had been forever since I last saw the inside of a dentist office, sat in the chair, felt the all to familiar fear set in.
I made a promise to myself that this year I would get back on track, getting all teeth related issues addressed and taken care of.
Aside from a few setbacks, a little over a month ago I accomplished the goal and completed my promise to myself.
And as life is funny sometimes I won a product from a company called Tooth Soap while joining in at my very first twitter party in honor of Monkey.
I received it a week before my appointment for my last filling.
The bottles, Tooth Soap, Tooth Swish and Tooth Brightener sat very decoratively in my bathroom cabinet. Waiting.
One of the issues I was still dealing with and still am actually was a healing oral antral (literally a hole leading to my sinus cavity from inside my mouth). The antral left behind a huge thick piece of scar tissue that is swollen and sore, very sore. The area is much like a canker sore but is healing much less quickly, unfortunately.
I was excited and apprehensive about using Tooth Soap. It is after all SOAP, and after years of believing you should never put soap into your mouth here is a company telling you and urging you to do it!
Kind of like a bully’s trick one might think.
The first time I used Tooth Soap I focused on the taste. It tastes like soap but not flowery soap or anything. After just one brushing it left my teeth silky smooth clean and they felt that way far longer then when having used toothpaste. I have actually forgotten to brush my teeth a few times because the feeling of clean lasts so long.
The Tooth Swish, in my honest opinion, takes some getting used to. It is a powder you sprinkle into your mouth and wait for it to dissolve. Then you swish it around and rinse. It works great, tastes a bit strong but did you hear me? It works great. You’ll get past the taste and the process. Trust me!
The best thing for me though, after just two days of using Tooth Soap, was that the swelling in the antral area had gone down considerably and the soreness had decreased.
It has continued to get better faster, I believe, thanks to the natural ingredients in Tooth Soap. I am very thankful.
Did I mention the tooth brightener? No? Well, it is almost to good to be true. It seemed to work immediately although I have since tried to convince myself that it can’t possibly make such a difference after just one or two uses but I really think it does. My teeth have continually gotten whiter.
Bottom line, Tooth Soap is great, leaves your teeth super clean and is all natural
but don’t take it from me……
