Our household and daily happenings generally flow with consistency and schedule.
This may sound boring to some but for us it works and I’m all about doing what works.
Living by means of consistency means that when it’s time for a transition there’s always a few days (but sometimes more) of balls to the wall struggle.
We shuffled quite a few things over the last couple of days but, dare I say it, I think we’re just about through the turbulence.
From school and a pretty set schedule to summer and a fairly relaxed pace,
from one child home to two,
from 7 o’clock bedtime to 9 o’clock,
from Daddy being off a few days then going back to work, to Daddy coming home around 4 every afternoon,
from an organized menu to flying by the seat of our pants for a few days
through a visit from Grandma
and a little bit of reorganization
we are arriving.
And yes, I am the screeching short girl in the corner singing hallelujah……
seriously I suck at inconsistency
so much so that
I owe $5.20 in library fine folks.
They have blocked me from their online catalog.
Our books and videos were due back on Tuesday and so naturally I took them back on WEDNESDAY.
In my defense, well I really don’t have one, considering that I have a cell phone, 3 calendars, and a huge date book but anyways, I really thought it was Tuesday yesterday.
The very friendly and understanding lady understood completely being that she was, oh I don’t know, 65, says to me, “Oh it happens to me all the time honey”.
I still have to pay the fines though.
Having ones head up their rump apparently doesn’t warrant the waving of fines.
I had to use a little bit of force but my head has been dislodged.
Today, and by today I mean Thursday, is Zoo day.
And hopefully things are back to our kind of normal and running with smooth consistency.

Just a bit of a break from the norm, Just a little somethin' to break the monotony, just lay back because this is summertime!…..yes, Fresh Prince lyrics….lol.
If it makes you feel any better, libraries really do use the money from fines to keep running.
Nah…I know that…it was a funny situation for me. I totally felt like I was in a fog. I\’m happy to support the library with my forgetfullness!
