I haven’t always been a coffee drinker.  I actually despised it for quite some time with only the memories of my grandfather and my father sitting at the kitchen table drinking it as reasons to regard it fondly.

At first, I slowly started crossing that love/hate line by indulging in specialty iced coffees and smoothie type whipped topping topped treats.

Now, it’s a normal part of my daily routine and not only do I believe I’m much nicer with coffee (I’m a mom to two boys, I mean really!) but I’m pretty certain that anyone I come in contact with is appreciative that blood isn’t the only thing coursing through my veins.

* I recently had the opportunity to review coffee from Gevalia.

Part of the Kraft foods family, Gevalia was founded in 1853 in a small Swedish seaport by victor Theodore Engwall.  Engwall believed that people are entitled to a premium cup of coffee or tea brought straight to their door, on their schedule, for a more fulfilling experience.

I must say, I agree with Engwall.  Don’t you?

Today, Gevalia seeks out, blends and roasts, some of the finest coffee available anywhere, and is widely known for its variety of over 40 coffees and teas and unique automatic door to door delivery system for the ultimate at home coffee experience.

The coffee I was chosen to review is the 1853 Heritage Blend.

About 1853 Heritage Blend

  • Celebrates the Gevalia History
  • Inspired by coffees procured over 150 years ago in Sweden by coffee Pioneer and Gevalia founder: Victor Theodore Engwall
  • 1853 Heritage Blend is 100% Arabica blend
  • Medium roast coffee with subtle flavor notes of carmel. (um, HELLO, yum)
  • Roasted and blended in Gavle, Sweden
  • Available for purchase online for a limited time while supplies last

I tried this blend many different ways; black, with sugar, with sugar and creamer, just creamer, and iced.  The carmel flavor (which I really enjoyed) was really prominent when it was iced.  I even indulged myself and used heavy cream for a truly decadent treat.  It really “hit the spot” on a couple “record setting” hot summer days.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to giveaway TWO identical prizes, that’s TWO prize packs which means TWO winners!!

Please note that you DO NOT need to have a Gevalia coffee maker to brew this delicious coffee.  It is wonderfully ground coffee that can be used in any coffee maker.
